The Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, community continues to mourn the heartbreaking loss of Liberty Rowan Hall, who passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at St. Joseph Hospital in Mt. Sterling. She was just 10 years old. Though her time on earth was far too brief, Liberty’s joyful spirit, boundless imagination, and loving heart left a lasting impression on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Born on September 30, 2014, in Mt. Sterling, Liberty was the cherished daughter of Alex Gregory Hall and Kayla Cantrell Hall. She was raised in a loving family and attended Redeeming Grace Church in Morehead, Kentucky, where she was surrounded by faith, friendship, and a supportive community.
Liberty had an extraordinary gift for bringing happiness to others. Known for her infectious laughter and playful personality, she loved spending time with her friends, cousins, and family members. Her creativity knew no bounds, and she delighted in making masks, jewelry, costumes, and colorful crafts. With glitter, googly eyes, paint, and endless imagination, she transformed ordinary moments into unforgettable memories.
Her quirky and compassionate nature made her someone others naturally gravitated toward. Liberty always found ways to lift the spirits of anyone who was feeling sad or discouraged, offering kindness, laughter, and encouragement wherever she went. She also shared a deep love for animals and never met a creature she didn’t adore, though frogs held a particularly special place in her heart.
Liberty leaves behind her devoted parents, Alex Gregory Hall and Kayla Cantrell Hall of Mt. Sterling; her brothers, Alex Hall Jr. of West Milton, Ohio, and Killian Hall of Mt. Sterling; and her sisters, Lily Hall of West Milton, Ohio, and Lexie Hall of Mt. Sterling. She is also lovingly remembered by her maternal grandparents, Sammy and Debbie Cantrell of West Liberty, Kentucky; her paternal grandparents, William and Tammy Mills and Kimberly Hall, all of Dayton, Ohio; and her paternal great-grandparents, General Lee and Jeanette Mills of New Carlisle, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandparents, Woody Cantrell, Vertie Cantrell, Howard “Butch” Hamilton, and Fern Hamilton, as well as her paternal great-grandparents, Walter and Barbara Hall.
Although Liberty Rowan Hall’s life was far too short, the love, laughter, and light she shared will continue to live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and everyone blessed to know her. Her beautiful spirit will forever be remembered, and her memory will continue to inspire joy, kindness, and compassion in those she leaves behind.
