CONROE, Texas — The Conroe community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of George Ramirez, 19, who died following a tragic two-vehicle crash Thursday evening. According to the Conroe Police Department, officers responded shortly after 6:30 p.m. to the 200 block of North Loop 336 East after receiving reports of a serious collision involving a passenger car and a pickup truck.
When emergency responders arrived at the scene, they found Ramirez, who was a passenger in the car, trapped inside the vehicle with critical injuries. Firefighters and emergency medical personnel worked quickly to free him and provide lifesaving treatment. Despite their efforts, Ramirez was pronounced dead at the scene.
A preliminary investigation conducted by the Conroe Police Traffic Reconstruction Unit found that the passenger car was traveling westbound on North Loop 336 East when the driver lost control while attempting to change lanes. Investigators said the vehicle spun and slid into the oncoming lanes, where it collided with an approaching pickup truck.
The drivers of both vehicles, along with the passenger in the pickup truck, were transported to a local hospital with injuries reported to be stable. Authorities later confirmed that Ramirez’s immediate family was notified of his death at their home in Cut and Shoot, Texas. The District Attorney’s Vehicular Crimes Unit also assisted with the investigation.
